First, the top speed on that "track" is higher than most. Where the top 
speeds are read is at the end of long downhill stretch.
However, the average is what is impressive for a lot of the cars that run 
there. I don't know if a recent accident, there was a horrendous one in 1989 
involving a Testarossa. The driver lived but was in rough shape. His wife 
died in that crash. I had a close friend in Vegas that helped organize it 
for years. She hit 152 in a nearly stock 1996 Mustang.
