[V8] Help! Hood won't open!

The link with the pictures and such seems to be the 100/200 models which 
look different, as I can't see any of that stuff from through the grille or 
from underneath. Forgive my ignorance, but what's the underbody pan? There's 
nothing obstructing my view up into the engine from underneath.
