[V8] Starter Question

Hi Brad.
I just went through starter replacement, though for a different reason.
I took mine to a local rebuilder, and he thought he had the parts, but
didn't and would have to order them but didn't realize this until a
couple days had passed and I wanted to the car back on the road before
the upcoming weekend, so he just put it back together and didn't
charge me anything. They do good work though so if you're inclined to
have your's rebuilt they're called Speedometer Service Co. and are at
449 E Kiowa St. Their phone number is 632-3165.
Unfortunately, it won't save you any money. I was able to get rebuilt
from Bap-Geon on Austin Bluffs west of Academy for about 150 bux in
the same day from their warehouse in Denver.
I did the R&R myself and it took far longer than one hour, until I
knew where the magic bolt was and how to get it out. Not sure I'm up
to that job again. What mechanic did you use for the rpm/ref sensors?
Have you had that done yet? I'd at least be willing to give them the
heads up on the top bolt if they need it.
