I'll chime in with Ingo...
No belly pan for the 91 200q's, just the brake cooling ducts for the UFO
brakes.
The alternator may just be wet/frozen. BTDT in similar conditions in Iowa.
After it thawed/dried, it was fine. The 2nd time this happened however, it
was toast.
