... the engine in #2 is a stock automatic ... TB included ... never had a
problem with the engine stalling. I know on the 5-cyl turbos the damper is
purely an emission control device ... too high of manifold vacuum and your
NOX goes up ... since automatic cars don't see the throttle completely
relased as often there is no soft stop on the throttle body ...
