Ed.. Try the seat memory.. (it may make it worse).. but if the rocker to
move the seat down is inop, maybe "up" works, and the the seat memory
will move it down past the point where you want it and can then move it
up into the right spot for you.

On my 90 and 91 the hood release pulls out in one arc.  On the 93 when I
first pulled it in just the one arc, it did not feel like it was doing
anything.  Later, I pull it in the one arc and I was pulling a little
more
firmly and it seems to have a hinge in the level that let's it be pulle
even
further out to actually disengage the hood latches.

The exterior door handles lift up quite a bit farther than on my older
cars.
On those, the handle only comes out a little bit and seems to allow you
to
pull harder to open the door if necessary.  The newer handles seem to
lift
up to a point where they're almost sticking straight out.
