[V8] Help!

Well today I was comming home from work and was stopped at a stop light. 
This was about 10 minutes or so after I had started the car up. The light 
turned green and I stepped on the gas and usually is has quite a bit of pep 
as I had it in Sport mode. Well, it was real sluggish! I was even flooring 
it and it was real slow to get going. It did this at the next two lights as 
well. At the third, I put it in park and put it back into the Econ mode. It 
got a decent start back, so I put it back into Sport and it's a little 
better, but the power from 3k to 4.5k is noticable, but not as strong as 
before. I know I need a fuel pressure regulator, that's gonna be replaced on 
Wednesday. I know I need a cat-back, and my friend said it may be a clogged 
cat. converter because of the rotten egg smell. But why would it just start 
doing this all of a sudden if it were that? Is there anything else that may 
be the cause? Help please!
