DO NOT use GL-5 in a MMANUAL trans

GL-4 is the only spec that will not damage teh red metals in the trans.

Sorry,

Scott

Anyone know which Redline oil to use in the 016 tranny?

I need
a top off (lost a little during the motor overhaul) but can't remember
which oil it was.
I am guessing it was the MT-90 or GL-4 spec but it
sort of looks like the GL-5 spec is the one.
My owners manual specs
GL-5 for the final drive for an automatic, but says nothing for a
manual.
(well - actually they say not to change the oil. Thanks Audi)
Since
the manual transmission shares oil with the final drive, it seems
logical
to use GL-5.

The Audi OEM oil is G005.

Dave
