[V8] Electric cooling fan needed

DISCONNECT IT NOW!!!

If you have not burned up the commutator
and brush holder (like happened to me :-(
you can probably rebuild
your motor. On mine, the very cheap and easy to replace front bearing
seized up. If you have not literally burned up the motor yet, take it to a
good motor shop and let them look at it. This thing is crazy expensive new
from the dealer. Seems like it was in the $400 range several years ago.

And - note to all of you people out there who are driving 16 year
old cars with tired old cooling fans - replace this bearing BEFORE it
fails and you will be happy. The part is only a few dollars, and it is
easy to replace. Be sure to get a bearing rated for an electric motor.

I found that a fan from a older Chevy truck was a pretty close
physical fit, but it did not have even half the power that the Audi unit
does. That may help you in a pinch though...
