[V8] [WAS RE: Heater Vent Bulb Change Write Up?]

I certainly never knew there are bulbs there, need to check it out.  I went
through the curse fest that was the PRND1234 console bulb replacement this
weekend.  After 1/2 the pain was over I went with a higher watt bulb.  Alas
after darkness fell even that one only illuminated marginally unless the
dash was so bright you needed sunglasses.  I think partially caused by the
circuitous route the light must take, but Audi figured that out a decade
before.  The SEM light even at lower output shines much brighter that the
higher watt one I put in the shift console, SIGH.

... after some careful investigation I rediscovered what I had some hazy
recollection of ... Audi *DID* intend for the bulbs that light the dash
vent
air controls to be replaced without much difficulty ...
