[V8] Well now, just look at what you find when you don't have a gun....

I dunno. I got a lot of pics from the guy, but they were all of uniform poor
quality. The ONLY real qualification for the car is the low price, which in
my opinion is a "good" price for a '92 with this mileage.

Now, IF the service records are really good and complete, I might be able to
overlook the travertine interior.

But the truth is that I don't WANT a travertine interior, and since it is
still early in the game, I think I am going to just let the string run along
and see what develops.

This might be a serious move for me. When I buy the next vehicle it will be
my daily driver for oh, perhaps 100,000 miles. But over the next year or
so, Quattro may be less important as I may be doing less winter driving.

The saga continues, and since fuel prices have climbed so high and show no
signs of retreating, I may just wait and see what develops.

But the hunt is on....

I'd sell you my '92 V8, but I love it too much. Maybe I'll sell you my '90.
I guess that would defeat the purpose of trying to buy a '92 wouldn't it?
What did you think of that one in Jersey?

Thank you,

...or need one.

I mean V8's of course.

Just when it seems that giving up and buying a Toyota Four Runner is the
only way to the future, V8's seem to be popping up almost everywhere. At
least 1992 V8's do.

In the past week there have appeared two V8's east of the Mississippi. The
first one is in New Jersey and the second in Ohio. Both are 1992's, and
both have approximately the same miles. Both (supposedly) are terrific
cars.

Well, almost, anyway.

I am on the hunt.

Ok, Ok, Ok, Ok: I am also having a wicked fantasy about this interesting,
relatively low mile '87 MB 300TDT wagon....had a six cylinder MBZ turbo
diesel once and it was a WONDERFUL car.
