[V8] Block Heating

As an Audi owner that lives in Alaska I've looked everywhere for a block
heater for my V8; they're simply not available. I run Mobil 1 0W/40 and
I've also installed an oil pan heater. Some high-temp silicone to adhere
the pad to the bottom of the oil pan and you're good to go. I generally
don't plug it in until the temperature drops below 0 but at 20 below it
sure makes a nice difference in how the starter cranks and the car
starts. Just make sure the heating pad isn't too powerful, you don't
want to cook your oil. Good luck, William
