[V8] thermostat

I've played musical thermostats before. Unplug/remove the ISV to
allow better access. You can go prop it up on the work bench or in a
coffee can so you can soak it with some throttle body cleaner if you
want to.
Drain the rad using the blue drain plug. If your belly pan is on, get
a short piece of 5/8 hose and put it on the spigot and out through the
grill (I think that's what I did) and into a clean bucket to reuse the
coolant, unless you're going to flush it.
I put some duct tape in the small opening to the timing belt chamber
to try to prevent it getting in there.
Disconnect the two arms of the upper hose that go to the two heads. I
just bent that hose and back and toward the passenger side and held it
there and out of the way with a bungee cord.
I think you have to remove the plastic cover to the one hose guide to
free that up. I'm not sure which hose that's on though.
Remove the hose on the thermostat. This is where you get some more
coolant draning/mess.
Remove the two torx head bolts.
Reverse that to reassemble. A new rubber gasket should come with the
thermostat, but if it doesn't get one. No sealant should be
necessary. Torque spec on the bolts is low like 15 or 22 lb/ft.
Make sure the thermostat is correct with the little vent. Position
that vent at the top.
The job looks a little harder until you get some of the stuff out of
the way. The worst part is having to manage the coolant and then the
torx bolts.
