Hey, haven't posted/driven it in some time....replacing the
distributor seals/left side rear cam cover seal?(dealer just calls it
"cover"). As they've leaked since dealer in Denver did the timing
belt (58K, currently 96K), and were a joy(ok maybe not a joy) to
remove as there was no sealant.....wondering who out there would use
sealant/what?....I've always used some high temp silicone on the
saab, but wanted to hear some opinions....Also, have bilstein front
shocks to install(courtesy of Ron) about a year or so ago.....and my
audi manual shows an option of doing it with wheels on and audi tool
# 2000something(or pipe wrench) and just want to verify that people
have done this, and how the bump stop comes out? Have new dust
boots. Like an idiot, just wanted to stop oil leak @ distributors w/
out even thinking about cap/rotors/wires(since I knew they weren't a
few bucks....). Friend's website www.carmadillo.com has bosch
wires,cap,rotor($207,$58.89,22.50 respectively)......sounds
good?.....bought my oxygen sensor/dust boots from sjm.....Incredibly
grateful that this site is still here, doubt that many v8's would be
alive today without it...Sincerely Tom
