[V8] optional tire sizes

I am curious what optional tire and wheel size combinations have been sucsessfully used with or without spacers.  I currently run 17x8 wheels with 235-45R17 tires.  I am considering going  to an 18 inch wheel, and had considered an 8.5 or 9 inch width, and 245-40R18 tires.  Wheel spacers have also been considered in a 10-15 mm.  Input from anyones sucsessful applications on this subject will be appreciated.  Thanks.......Henry Schroder
