I switched my 90 to R134 using the kit from the local FLAPs for about
$40 and has worked perfectly for about 2 years.

Interesting, Bastian, though I'm not sure about the R134a with respect
to the USA.  My '93 (build date Feb 1993) came factory (including
well-worn sticker on top of radiator Core Support) equipped with R134a.
