[V8] Audi Pulls out of ALMS - Diesel Thread ...

I completely disagree with AoAs rollout. Its dumber than dirt, and it 
will fail.
They should have released the A3 and TT first, and the A8L and A4 next.

I cornered the head of AoA and Audi marketing in '05 at our club tent in 
Sebring. They had brought down A6 TDIs to drive. I told them both they 
were far too cautious and stupid (in the nicest possible terms), and 
that I had sold my 92 V8q the previous year and bought a new 04 Jetta 
TDI wagon when gas went over 2 bucks a gallon. I told them the if Audi 
had had a diesel offering at the time I would have bought it on the 
spot. Their director of marketing was left sputtering.
Being stupid for 4 years has now allowed hybrid technology to overshadow 
diesel. The Q7 rollout is based on the soccer mom SUV concept, which is 
dead as a doornail.
