[V8] planning a new stereo upgrade

Before everyone goes marching out to match line levels... The output of
a Bose head unit is NOT a simple line level left and right output of pos
and neg. It is a blended output of left and right AND front to back that
requires a specific 'decoupler' to match up to the individual amps. Even
with the correct device the quality is not good. I've yet to hear one
I've even liked for talk radio...
Added to this is the fact that the stock speakers are absolutely nothing
to write home about - and the newest ones are 15 years old for a 93.
I like Bose - I've had 101s, 201s, 301s, 901s and currently have a set
of AM5s at home. I have 2 V8s with perfectly working Bose systems and
the system still sucks. The bass is way too high and muddy. You only
start getting decent sound out of it when its cranked to nearly
earsplitting levels with the bass dialed way back and the treble turned up.

Reality is the only 'right way' to do this is to chuck the ENTIRE
system, bypass the wiring and run everything new with at least 14 guage
wiring. Go with Infinity Kappa and/or MB Quart. Add a sub if you want,
amps too. Drop kick the crappy diversity antenna system and if you don't
have a factory electric rip out the analog cell antenna which is already
useless and put a nice one in there.
Then select a decent head unit and call it a day.
