George.. sorry to hear about the fire.
There is a set of dizzies on EBay right now, however the hall sender
(the part inside that dizzy) will NOT cause the car, not to start.
Neither will the coolant temp sensor.
The MAF Sensor (Bosch part at the top of the intake) also shouldn't give
you a no start. But that your fire was toward the rear of the engine, I
would take a close look at the two ref sensors, connectors.
Does the car crank; just not start?
You should also check the passenger side wiring down the injector rail,
passenger side knock sensor along with the oil pressure sender & oil
temp sensor. Of course this also means the wiring to the passenger side
coil.
My guess is there is still something shorted. That you have no idiot
lights on would lead me to guess that you have a melted wire (or blown
fuse) somewhere nearer to the fuse panel.
Good Luck..
