[V8] UFO brake caliper availability

Ya know, it just occurred to me. Since UFO brakes are no longer supported
by Audi, and whereas UFO calipers are in relatively short supply, with only
three sources that I have found so far for new calipers, this carries with
it great portent for the Type 44 V8 AND the Type 44 Avant 20v c.1991,
doesn't it?
Now, let's say I stumble over...stumble, because I am sure that you all know
that I am no longer searching for, looking at, or even thinking about
another....nice 20v. Avant. AND let's say that the owner of that fine,
obsolete piece of shit...ah, 20V Avant knows that he has UFO wheels AND has
just found out that his car, with 105,000 miles on it, cannot have its
leaking calipers replaced.
Ohhhhhhhhhh, my! Doesn't that depress the value of that car in the market
now, doesn't it.
Why, if I came across such a vehicle in the hands of such a nice fellow who
has just had the jolt of a lifetime given to him, ie that his 20V Avant is
now not repairable at anything approaching a reasonable cost...well, I would
probably allow myself to be snookered into buying it.
Now just think of how noble that might be. I would relieve the seller's
pain, and take control of (to save) one more 20V Avant for say, an
investment of $1000 or less.
Like the old Dodge commercial: "This changes everything!"
Roger (wearing an evil grin!).
P.S. There ARE Audi owners who do not know about nor read this website
three or four times a day, ya know!
