[V8] Emergency?

I think the best time for a tour would likely be September or perhaps early
to mid October. The tour that I envision would include both sections of
Acadia and to Down East somewhere, and then back up through Millinocket and
down The Golden Road for some foliage.
All of this would take place more than 150 miles from J's Oyster Bar, so
that would be OK for a warmup on the way up, I suppose.
All my previous attempts at as a tour organizer were defeated in the end, by
concerns of time and mileage. When I wanted to do a high speed time trial
at the former Loring Air Force Base we had three shy of enough to run the
expensive event on a break even basis, and the remaining three should have
been found in the southwestern most parts of Maine. But those guys never
showed up to register for the three day event because it was "too far" for
them to drive their cars, a concern that didn't seem to bother the folks who
were traveling from Connecticut and south and west. ;(
Oh well. That was then, and now is now. The entire concept is something
that belongs in history.
