The two screws that hold the seat bottom in place may be covered by
the carpet. There are small square flaps cut into the carpet to hide
the screws. These flaps are often missing, but in case not in your
case, just FYI.
The seat heater wires can be left connected if you move the seat
bottom aside carefully. I have forgotten about them completely and
moved the seat carelessly and the all disconnected because of being
pulled apart. Everything went back together okay and worked, but I
don't recommend this method. ;-)
There is a large bracket that secures the battery. It takes a 13mm
socket on a long extension to remove that.
I was just doing this dance yesterday and mine has a Group 93 battery,
a big mother, and it barely fits. The first time I took it apart a
couple years agoI had to elongate the bolt hole on the hold-down
bracket to get it back together. With any other battery, you should
have any problem with that though.
