[V8] Knock sensor#1

I believe (but can not say for sure) the knock sensor is a
"piezo" device. Basically it works the same way phonograph
pickup needle does.  Engine noises get turned into mechanical motion
and then into electrical energy.  This is a very small and high
impeadance voltage so it is easy for the signal to get corrupted. I
would guess that the sensor would measure open circuit (resistance) if it
is a piezo - because you would basically be measuring the resistance of a
piece of quartz.

About the only way to test this is with
substution of a known good part. Maybe you can swap the left and right
connectors but I think the cables are too short. Bolt torque is critical
too. Too lose or tight and it will not work.  If you do need to
remove the intake, it is not that hard of a job. Just be sure to tighten
the manifold back in stages and to the proper torque just like the manual
says or you can warp it.
