[V8] '90 For Sale -

Since my wife became disabled in a car accident in 2004, the V8 has been
driven very rarely.

 

SO I am going to part with the V8.  I have offered it to a friend who loves
it for $1700, but his wife won't let him have another car.

It is TOO sad to me to see the beastie sitting out in the rain, rarely
getting driven.

 

At this point I will entertain any REASONABLE offer, (basically I want at
least the $1700 for it)

 

It has been an AWESOME car, and I love to drive it, but I cannot bear to let
it sit any more.

 

1990 Pearl with blue interior... All stock except for added Remote
locking/entry

192k miles... runs excellent!

No dents, etc, but a few rock chips in the front area

 

Includes: (also...good things)

Full set factory manuals (2- 3" binders)(with lots of notes from V8 List.

Steering rack replaced 18k ago

new UFO rotors, pads, and front bushing, lower ball joints done 18k ago

4 additional "pearl" wheels with Michelin "stud less" snow tires (almost
new)

2 gallons (+\-) Mobil DTE-13-M (Generic pentosin) (from when the rack was
done)

All  Bose amps have been rebuilt/replaced

Headlights have been "Relayed" to avoid burnout of mutli-switch

New rear brakes and calipers

New hood support struts

Tires are "like new"- I can't say new because 3+ years, but less than 10k on
them. 

 

Needs: (or... not good things)

Time for the timing belt. Last one 62.5k miles ago. With that was ALL
tensioners, H2O pump, ALL top engine seals. Spent WAY too much money back
then!!!

Black paint on front bumper peeling.

Drivers seat heater not working

Small hydraulic leak from front (perhaps pump?) (1 drip /day)

 

I also have a NEW radiator to be installed.. Get warm in traffic in
summertime.. typical symptoms of radiator clogging. I haven't driven it
enough to bother putting in the new rad.

I am selling due to the accident where my wife & I (& 4 friends) were hit by
a racing drunk driver last fall, rendering my wife paralyzed from her waist
down. We just purchased a Van for her to drive and I don't have room in the
driveway. I WOULD NOT sell the V8 if it weren't for this. It is my most
favorite car I have ever owned.
