I suppose that since you may use the driver's door more than the passenger's
that the driver's would be more likely to break ... but all it takes is
trying to fight the pneumatics once ... that's how I broke mine.

I don't remember clips ... but the stamped gear is quite obviously different
than the pot metal piece ...

Then the lock linkage has been changed, right?

Factory Manuals depict an e-clip, and I think that's what my (broken) 
passenger side has.  Took apart driver's door to see if it had ever been 
changed and visual inspection of the linkage results is inconclusive in 
regards to pot metal vs stamped steel.  But it definitely has a snap ring.

And the driver's would break before the passengers, right?
