Do you know when the engine speed sensors were changed? There is a pair of
them. Failure mimics fuel issues.
And finally Pull the codes! You really need to do that.

also check distributors and make sure caps and rotors are okay and not
cracked. Check plug wires for grounding issues. check distributor gears to
make sure one is not stripped, cracked or the dowel has not backed out and
gear is rotating on shaft. all connections for switches and sensors
mentioned in other posts. I have had the smallest amount of water get in
connections and have transference of signals between individual connectors.
while in there, check each connection (gang plug) for corrosion. Double
check cam/crank timing. check distributor timing (i know this is relative).
check for plugged exhaust. check for intake restriction. check fuel
filter. check for kinked fuel line.
I know some of these are long shots, just tossing everything out i can think
of.
