[V8] IC Tach-Speedo Issues

OK, I've taken the IC out 4 times now, resoldered countless solder
joints, focusing on the black and white connectors and associated
circuits for the tach and speedo. I used DeOxit on every connection I
could find and I still get intermittent signals from both tach and
speedo. Definitely something not making a good connection as bumps or a
slap on the dash will often bring things back to life. On occasion the
speedo will bounce or run at 75% of actual speed for short periods of
time then go to the correct reading.
Anyone have any ideas on which connection may be the culprit here??
I've studied the wiring diagrams but get a little lost trying to trace
the current track once it gets into the IC cluster.
In the wiring diagram they list a connector as T26c/24, the T26c refers
to the connector, does the 24 refer to the pin out for that connector?
How do you count the connections on the connector? Left to right, top
to bottom, etc?? On several of the connectors backside, the circuit
board has the T26 printed on one side and then a 14 at one end of a row
of pins. I assumed this was reference for the numbering system for the
pins, however that particular connection is a 26 pin and only has 13
connections per row. I guess I need a basic refresher course in
reading wiring diagrams.

Ideas anyone?

Thanks,

Bob
