[V8] trans problem

 Yup that is true, I do not know why I mentioned the check engine light...DOH
 I may have mentioned it cause after the engine checks the diagnosics go to the trans codes after blinking via the PRNDL display. The instrament cluster checks are after that.

 As a note....... you do not need anything special to pull codes from these cars. The check engine bulb connector needs to be hooked up which is located in the center console area. & you can use a simple paper clip to touch the two diagnostic pins to activate the light. The paper clip is like how you'd have to do it on the older cars with a fuse in the fuel pressure relay for 5sec.
 Or I hade up two connectors on a 10gauge wire & it's simple now.
