[V8] Rim question

I've written to the seller and asked for a picture of the inside of the
wheel so that I can see where the wheel will meet my discs.

I am not particularly keen on buying wheels/tires for the V8 at this point,
although I will need tires if the car is to be driven through the winter.
This combination would give me wheels and winter tires, and then in the
spring I could change to something else. The 16" wheels gives me more
options for tires than do the 15" wheels since there are relatively few tire
choices for 15" wheels in the correct size for the V8.

Kumho makes a model called "Platinum" that is on severe special at Tire Rack
in the 15" size, and I am pondering those. I have used Kumho's on one of
the trucks and found them to be OK...whether or not they would be so on the
V8, I don't know. Right now the V8 has Michelins and I am ambivalent about
them since they are so very much more expensive than almost all of the
options.

Right now a trip down to the New Hampshire border is NOT one of my
priorities, either, so unless I really feel motivated about these Ronal
wheels, AND the offset issue, I will likely pass.

The wheel in question is not an OEM wheel. It is a Ronal R38.

I would not mind the 7.5 inch width at all as it allows better choice of
tire fitment and retains the stock width. The offset would be better at
et35 which would maitain the exact tire/wheel presentation/position in the
wheel well. ET40 is really not that far off though. The bottom line would
be fitment over the UFO. From what I can see in pix I found on the web, I
would feel pretty confident that is would be ok as the spokes are fairly
well flush to the face of the wheel/outer rim.

Ronal is a good brand. The only question I would have would be weight.
