.... for info on trouble codes ... if you don't have the manual go to Scott
Mockry's website:
http://www.sjmautotechnik.com/trouble_shooting/ecufv8.html
The problem can be elsewhere in the system ... the OXS is just the
"messenger" ... as SJM (and the manual) indicate ... the real problem may be
elsewhere in the fuel/ignition system. Since you say the engine is running
poorly, it could be that one or more cylinders are misfiring, which is
causing the ECU to see a constant over-rich condition that it can't control.
The other prime candidate is the fuel pressure regulator.
I don't remember what else you did earlier ... have you checked the
distributor caps and rotors? Have you checked the spark plugs? Have you
replaced the fuel pressure regulator?
Didn't you say that you installed a 4-wire OXS? What car was it intended
for? I installed a FoMoCo "replacement" in one of my cars ... it clearly
had a different warm up characteristic from the Bosch ...

Subject: [V8] More o2 sensor woes...
That was the most short lived happiness ever. I had about 4 days
before my car threw a 2341 2342 at me again, and started idling like
crap.... again.
I was wondering if anyone knows where/how I can test an 02 sensor. I
did check the heater wires and they seem about right for a heater. 14k ohms
on the sensor side, and about none on the car side. My fuse No. 5 is fine.
I can't get a reading on the sensor wire through the ground, so I guess
there has to be a way to test it.
I'm just curious if it could be that after 100 miles an O2 sensor is
bad, again? I think I have an exhaust leak where the cats connect to the
exhaust pipe on the forward end (pre-cat) so could that be it? Ugh. This
must be the *50th* time I've written you guys, so sorry for crapping up the
Inbox. I'm getting somewhat distraught here, however.
