John, they should have been replaced by now. 120K is pretty high for the 
original k03's. And, they are a bit hard to get at on the S4. The other 
thing I'd highly recommend is pulling the oil pan and cleaning the screen 
for the oil pump pickup. I've seen way too many late model engines ruined 
because of this, trust me, it's cheap insurance.

One other thing, it seems to me that Audi changed something about the design 
or application of the turbochargers on the 01 S4's relative to the 00's. I 
seem to recall a design change to improve the reliability of them. You may 
want to check a bit more on that one, though.
