[V8] It's a joke and it makes me mad!

Well, since the system is out of money, it's a non-issue at this  
point.  What I didn't know is that the dealer must "disable" the  
motor of said vehicle.  Wreckers know the motor/tranny are the reason  
they take cars. They aren't happy with this situation.  The "program"  
is destroying the best part of a "junker" even if it's a gas hog(or  
even worse, an "uber rare" gas hog).....Hell nobody's going after the  
old private jets that burn 3000lbs/hr.  I saw an old clunker of a  
boat yesterday that was about 70ft of rot.....spewing raw diesel out  
the pipes @ 7knots(probably all she could do)....Thought I saw  
Humphrey Bogart on the stern.....looked like him....
  It would be a sin for any "slightly rare" vehicle to get the motor  
sledge hammered for the chance to buy something that you might want  
to sledge hammer in 10 years.....My old 86 saab took 148 man/hrs to  
produce,the new GM saab(antisaab) takes 5.5 or something like  
that......How many man/hrs did it take to produce the V8?(I'm going  
to guess it beat the old saab substantially)......Even if the Pearl  
car seized(possibly another post), I still wouldn't think of using it  
for this program, as you all know, parts aren't getting more  
plentiful, and we all need parts......Tom
