..that I have always wanted.  

 

I was wandering around on eBay and found two, low mileage Mercedes 500SECs.
The big coupe is on of those cars that I have always wanted, and from other
stuff that I have read, there are more than just a few "around" with low
mileage, good service history, and for some foolish reason, the values have
dropped through a big hole in the "book".  

 

One on eBay that I have been salivating over is an '87 with (supposedly)
39,000 miles (I think it was).  Very nice, black with red leather and very
pristine from the photographs.  Buy It Now was under nine grand, which
seemed ridiculously cheap to me.  

 

No.  I'm not likely to buy one, but still, if the money and the car come
together in the right time and order, and the kitchen was done, all things
are possible.  Besides, I "NEED" a summer car sometime, too.  Something to
drive in the warm dry months so I can rest the V8..
