Actually the Porsche parts are pretty easy (cheap to come by). They are just as bitten by the upgrade bug we are. I have purchased 2 sets of Boxster S calipers to upgrade my C4 S6 and my Urq for an average of $200 a set delivered with pads! Of course with the UFOs the key would be a reasonably priced bracket.
Apikol has recently produced a virtually full line of brackets for period Audis to use with either the Boxster and Boxster S calipers.(excepting the V8/200 with UFO's!). May be a call over there could fill in that last piece of the puzzle. The Boster caliper use the same sized calipers as the more traditional BBK kits for these cars but the Boxtser is a true monoblock and weighs significantly less the 993 units of earlier and current kits. Hoses/pads/rotors are cheaper for the P car calipers than for UFOs as well.

If you don't want UFOs, then here goes: I don't think you can use the words
"Porsche" and "economical" in the same sentence. Porsche builds some of the
best brakes in the world; you pay for that.
