I don't know how they get around it, but that's not covered. We did a lot of 
cat's on customer VW's, and that always infuriated me that it wasn't 
covered. BTW, that was at an independent shop.

Generally, they are part of the downpipe these days, and somewhat specific 
to the car. However, aftermarket ones can still be put in, you just have to 
do a little research.
