Eeep.  My god, as long as you aren't in CA, you can pretty much slap 1/2 of
the aftermarket cats on any car... And best part is you can usually get a
much better unit and bump up your mileage, and make your car pass emissions
easier.  Man, that is a really taking to the cleaners.  Seriously, ouch.

Here's a good place to start.  Maybe you show her this, maybe you don't, but
if you want her to get a good wake-up call here's a start.  A typical
exhaust shop can throw these on for 50-100 bucks no problem.  Seriously, I
don't know why people go to dealerships, or at least don't shop around for
repair work, but then they cut coupons or shop around for the whole 100
bucks they spend in groceries...
