Idly fooling with the keyboard, I was just wondering exactly what is involved and how hard it is to
put a 3.6 V8 into a Coupe Quattro or into a Cabrio?
It isn't that I have nothing to do, because I really, really do have too much going on, but I was
just wondering . . . I know Javad Shadzi has an S8 engine in a CQ, and I've heard of a V8 Cabrio.
Just idle musings, you understand . . .
To do list on V8 - drain, clean fuel tank, install fuel pump, change fuel filter (old one is
stripped on rear line), change radiator (partially clogged, have replacement), change thermostat
(have), change FPR (coming from Ron-Der-V8-Meister), change caps (have) and rotors (need), charge
battery, fill tires, change heater valve (have a metal one, don't trust the plastic one) and so forth.
Anyone living up in the frozen north taking a trip to Florida and might think about working on a V8?
I'm real near Daytona, and this probably isn't two day's work . . . enclosed, paved but not heated
workspace available, my tools or yours, labor exchanged for camper parking or something like that,
bring your own wimmen, I'll provide some beer . . . you can tell I just don't feel like getting out
and doing it right now.
Best Regards,
Mike Arman
