[V8] black interiors...now morphed a tad

So, a 97 A6 Avant in green w/ecru interior has a dead transmission.
No matter what you do with the engine, you still need a transmission. To me
that makes it not quite the perfect candidate for an engine swap.
However, that transmission should be more readily available/rebuildable.
'Twould be interesting to make a call to Force5 and see if he has a
serviceable unit that could be swapped in. Maaaayyybe even could trade
straight up working engine for working transmission. Voila, the perfect
candidate.
I like the idea of a C4 Avant with a V8. Hey, "they" even did it over
there. How much of a job would it be to fit a PT into a C4?
Fitting a 20v turbo 5 and a manual would be far more work and you would be
left w/o the distinctive looks of the 91 Avant. Why build an S6 Avant when
they're already out there waiting to be purchased?
Personally, I would want to do this as efficiently as possible, given the
primary goal of creating a V8 Avant. Starting with this particular
candidate, swap the working engine for a working transmission. I chose the
PT because I have no idea how robust the A6 V6 autobox is so I figure tax it
as little as possible. We're still talking 240hp in place of what, 172?
190? Seems a reasonable upgrade. Not to mention the bump in the torque.
