[V8] Hall sensor Error code 2113

After doing a bunch of work on the injectors and removing &
reinstalling the distributors, I fired the car up and after the car
settled down, it idled quite normally, but the power was down.
There's a very faint hesitation from take off and it's just like as
if I'd set my ignition timing wrong.
The power is definitely down. Very noticeable on acceleration.
I blinked out the codes and I get:
2113 Hall sender in distributor
Distributor alignment, faulty sender,
Mislocated sensor & distributor.

Now the distributor with the Hall sensor is a used one I just put in.
(Ron, it's the one you sent me)
Could the sensor be bad?
Or is there a way to set the distributor in wrongly?
I've reconnected the electrical connector, just to make sure it's
snapped in right.

I have an emissions test due tomorrow, so I'm a bit worried if I
can't fix B4 then.

Mark.
