[V8] Bringging Canadian cars to the US

Paperwork.... Tital, Bill of sale..... anything else?
 I'll need a passport to cross over rite? When I sold my ol Pearl beast to a t00l in Minn I went through Canada.... cut through to Detroit.... I didn't need one. But I had heard that there was going to be some law or something that would require a passport to enter Canada now... is that true?
