[V8] 5 spd transplant

Gentlemen,
   I have contemplated this in the past, but I may be getting serious - we will see.  I want to convert the v8 to a 5 spd.  I have a line on a 1990 200 quattro - I think it will work for most of the donor parts including the trans tunnel.  I know I will have to buy a special v8 flywheel, but no big deal.  Anyone else have a wrecked v8 5spd they want to unload?  Or a 200?  Is the 200 a good choice?  Does it have the right gear ratio up front?  Anyone else have experience in this, Ron?  Thanks.
