[V8] Distributor rotor replacing

You just push the new rotors on the dizzy shafts. Make sure though that you remove all the leftover rotor bits from the shaft & make sure that if any bits get down inside the dizzy to get them out as well. I usually just tape some surran wrap around the base of were the shaft goes into the dizzy body.

& as I've mentioned before I would not use the Blk set screw type that the book calls for, for the d-side.. just use two burnt Orange ones.

All so on the rotor install......
the Dizzy shaft has a keyway & the rotor has a notch & the two slip into eachother when you push the rotor on the shaft. What I like to do cause the notch on the rotor is way up on the inside of the rotor & is hard to line up with the dizzy shaft keyway. What I like to do is use a marker & mark a straight line on the outside of the rotor were the notch is & all so @ the base of the dizzy shaft so it makes it easier to line up the notch & keyway. Cause if you do not have it lined up rite the 1st time you might not be able to pull or manuver the rotor to get it to line up cause it is a TIGHT fit.

When you put the rotor on the dizzy you will NOT need any glue, locktight, ect cause as I mentioned it IS a tight fit.
Actually, when you put the rotor on the dizzy try & pull it off & let me know if you can :-)
