Read the review of the new Panamera this morning. I am singularly
unimpressed, and even if I had a hundred grand to throw at a car, and the
will or interest to do it, I would buy one.
Whatever one thinks about the styling..I happen to think it is poorly done.I
fail to understand the need for a car like this at this point in the world,
economically or politically. Certainly it is a car that may sell well, and
make Porsche some money, but with 132 buttons inside the car doing something
or other, I wonder who will be able to fix something in 35,000 miles or so
when little electric gremlins begin to appear.
Nope. The best cars have already been built. The Type 44 V8 cars for one,
still do everything exceedingly well, and the cost of maintenance even done
by a professional mechanic is far less than buying a new much of anything.
I'll keep mine. And while I would love to have another 928, perhaps the
time for such vehicles has indeed passed.
