I had this happen on my first V8 and on my old 5000.
I was able to get the then stripped bolt out with an impact wrench- worked
after a bit.
I have seen the wax/body cavity goop get on the threads so the bolt will not
back out without stripping or breaking the tacks.
I cut the end off the bolt and removed the subframe on (first V8), then cut
the stub right near the shell, pushed the stub with nut into the cavity,
installed a new bolt (the kind with a built in serrated washer to grab) which was
the hardest part - I recall a multi hour contortion/fight.
I have also had to Helicoil the non-accesable rear hidden nut which was
stripped.....not fun, but worked fine.
