[V8] Thanks to Tom99 for all his help with my V8 speakers. Also: wheel/tire choice

Nominally speaking, neither 225 nor 235 45-17 are "correct" technically.
One is .19 inch less in diameter, the other is .17 more in diameter.

A 7.5 inch wide rim with a 35 offset retains the car's original
"orientation" irrespective of wheel diameter. Dave said he didn't want to
track his car and wasn't going to drive particularly agressively. Given
the rim width and the characteristics of the tire he chose, I think the
225 is the better choice.

To each their own.

I've played a lot of games with bigger is better and have often been
disappointed. Never had a clue about it until I started swapping out
tires and wheels for winter and summer. Going from a heavy 17x9 et35 rim
with 255/40-17 to 215/60-15 winter tires on stock wheels was a revelation
in the dynamic feel of the car based on only wheel and tire choice.

I agree, I did & still continue to do a bunch of recapping of the Bose
amps & the little bit of work involved is well worth the trouble! A
correctley working Bose system is fantastic!

 & I personally wouldn't have went with a 7.5 wide rim on a 17. But
keeping in the 7.5 width you could have went to the correct tire size
(235)..... got any pics you can share SD?
