The interior lights have two triggers. The lights have constant 12v+ at all
times. The overhead switches provide a constant ground when turned on. The
door pin switches provide a momentary ground which triggers a relay to
provide a 30 sec pulsed ground. (This is why the lights stay on after you
close the door, unless you put the key in the ignition or lock the doors with
the key) Your problem will either be the relay, or door pin switches. I'm
guessing that your door pin switches on the other doors may have been bad
for a while and you didn't notice it till the drivers door pin switch
failed. Hope this helps. Al
