[V8] New problem - v8 tb

It is rubbing at 2. Without touching the belt there is maybe 1/16th of an inch between the belt and point 2. I know that it would be hard for the pump to have tilt - but that was my point, since it is a rebuilt pump, I assume that they have to bore out the housing, put a bushing or a larger shaft in it. Either way it has to be re-drilled and could be off a fraction of a degree, and my experience with belt drives is that if it is a flat belt, without being directed will not take very much mis alignment to make it run un-true. I know the belt can't come off because of the guides on the idlers, that isn't what I'm worried about, it is just the rubbing and I don't want the noise to come back. BTW, you must have a 5spd - I noticed the extra pin on the passengers side cover - to keep the belt on in hard downshifts! Must be fun, I'm jelous. Thanks again.
