[V8] Radiator leak found.....

Hey, well I was so wrong about the fan sensor......got a better  
flashlight and saw it was coming from above.  After trying to  
retighten the hose clamps, determined it was coming from the breather  
hose(smaller return hose to the reservoir) at the radiator.....after  
removing the hose, noticed that the barb was plastic, and looked  
removable(my binder/dealer microfiche didn't show this).  The fiber  
gasket under it had a crack in it.  Dealer didn't show it, and she  
remembers someone having a similar issue with some other older audi,  
and buying a new radiator.  I found a fiber gasket that was much  
thinner/same size and appears to have solved the leak.  Just  
wondering if anyone's had to deal with this/what did they use for a  
gasket.  I had to torque this more than I was comfortable(being  
plastic), and something thicker would have been nice.  I had a rubber  
gasketted hydraulic washer(from the fuel line for a diesel), but  
wanted to stay fiber....quite glad it wasn't a hole in the  
radiator.....Sincerely Tom
