 I guess I'd hope Maurice would share a couple puffs...? My tongue in cheek diagnostics below allowed a zebra, and/or no zebra, *and* the added bonus of two beers before tackling the hinge boot.

Glad it turned out to be something so common.  The "monkey wrench" was

indeed the rain storm being added to the equation.  The old ad is right

on again...."When it rains, it pours."  ;-)

If you'd posted without mentioning rain, you would have received at least

5 replies from folks who have had wire fatigue at the accordion.

Maurice gets the cigar for this one, the only one not looking for

zebras....

IF YES

You have a ground fault in the wiring.? Try pulling all the plugs off the DS 

master switch, grab a beer, come back and ck *only* sunroof operation.? 

IF NO SUNROOF

Remove all plugs off all door switches, grab another beer, come back and ck 

*only* sunroof operation.

IF YES SUNROOF

Add regulators in one at a time until circuit breaker blows = shorted regulator 

motor

IF NO SUNROOF

Check for frayed wires in the drivers side door hinge boot.
