Classic symptoms of connection problems.  You have to pull the dash pad to get at the IC.  It isn't that difficult, but you need to know where the fasteners are hidden.  See if you can get the manual softcopy.

Well my problem is that the trip computer, gas, temp, voltage and oil temp are not working. Or they will come on for a short time and then go off. The Spedo and Tach are always functioning, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get the dash apart to have a look.
